Unthinkable

Whadda know? The US finally did show a little backbone and were blessed by the futbol gods. Well done chaps. Even though that Torres and David Villa are so hot right now and I'm still picking Spain as my favorite, I will be doing my pre-game naked victory dance for the US on Wednesday.

Again, fuck Rossi. Enjoy your flight home. Actually, not "home," which would be New Jersey, but back to Italy.

Dude, let it go. We've stolen a ton of players from other countries. Unless you change the rules, who cares? And if you were from New Jersey, wouldn't you be looking for ways to claim some other place as home?

I know. Especially with the Jermaine Jones situation, we have no standing for outrage. However, that kid is more "American" than Tom Dooley was "German" or Jose Torres is "Mexican." His family still lives here, for fuck's sake!

And I would like to see the eligibility rules changed, and not in the way they just were. Set a hard age limit for switches and stick to it. Or make all senior caps tie a player to a federation. There's nothing saying a player has to accept a call-up (Rossi didn't when Arena tried to call him up. Neither did Subotic last year.)
