This is cool
Cool new visualization effect in Mac's newest OS. Of course, do you really need a cool way to look at your pictures? (I'm not posting this to re-ignite past debates. I just think it's really cool.)

For some reason I think Firefox had some effect like this in their web browser. I don't exactly remember the details, but I'm going to chalk this up as yet another product Apple just took from someone else!
This is a new application for WebKit - the layout engine that Apple built Safari on and Google is trying to build Chrome on. WebKit is open-source so any browser built on it (not Firefox) can do this. It's not an Apple-specific thing, though Safari is the most popular WebKit browser.
